On September 22, Kelliie Waston will receive the Alumni of Distinction Award title from the UM School of Dental Hygiene Alumni Association. The Award function will start in the evening at the Fort Garry Hotel.

Also, there will be Dr. Aaron Kim who going to be honored by the UM Dental Alumni Association with the Alumni of Distinction Award.

Kellie Watson lived her childhood in Winnipeg, In 1995 she got her diploma from the UM School of Dental Hygiene. She completed her master’s in business administration at the University of Saskatchewan. Later she did a management role in the Saskatoon Health Region.

In 2011 she was the CEO of the Saskatchewan Dental Hygienists Association for eight years. She improved herself in the field of Oral Health Care. She also served on the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board.

Dr. Aaron Kim grew up in South Korea and then immigrated to Canada. Then he started practicing dentistry at Sturgeon Creek Dental. Later he was promoted to associate professor of restorative dentistry at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry.

In 2002 he created a Humanitarian Dental Mission for Zambia to treat 1,000 children. And spread philanthropic dental care and education in Zimbabwe.
